Blanche Conley is Shiro Art . She is Japanese, Irish and a red, white, and blue American veteran of the US military with eight years of service in the US Air Force.
As a practicing artist since childhood, Blanche's creative process began with her fascination of Japanese anime & origami. She started mimicking the drawing style of the Manga artists using pencil and paper, and she progressed onto more complex media to include collage, paints, three-dimensional objects and advanced origami. With the emergence of electronic design, Blanche explored computer art as a new medium to create projects using photo manipulation and vector programs. The results were sharp, crisp, clean artwork useful for multiple applications. She has created graphics work for the Defense Logistics Agency and the SGI-USA Buddhist group, and she is working with DPebooks to fabricate electronic book covers and internal graphic works for electronic all of its publications.
