Did You See Us Dad?

When you were a child, did you see us Dad?
Did you see us there in your heart?
Did you know that one day you would help give us life,
Eternally loving us no matter the day we would part?

Could you then have seen those times we would share.
Full of joy and strife as family love seems to go?
Could you possibly have known the love from us Dad,
That you would feel from your children as you grew old?

If you could have seen those years to come,
As a child so full of hopes and dreams,
You would have seen us standing by you now,
With love's expressions flowing as a mountain stream,

You would have seen, Dad, how grateful we are,
To have had a wonderful Father like you.
You would have known then, deep within your heart,
That your dreams had somehow come true.

We see you now so young, and so full of life,
And our Heavenly Father standing by your side.
We see you so high and so lifted up,
Knowing you're here within us forever alive.

We know you love us Dad, and because of you,
You'll remain our symbol of that love,
We know that our lives will be lived in full,
Forever graced with God's beautiful dove.

One last time "We love you Dad" as we see you off,
From this earth with it's good times and bad.
As you enter into Heaven, please look around,
For we are there,
