| About A-Joy's Eskies | |||
A-Joy’s StoryAmerican Eskimo dogs have been my pride and passion for over 16 years. I saw my first American Eskimo dog in 1983. I immediately fell in love with the "look and feel" and knew I had to have one just as soon as life circumstances would allow! I bought my first Eskie puppy in 1985 (just three weeks after college graduation) and was so enchanted with her I’ve been involved with American Eskimo Dogs ever since. My kennel “A-Joy’s American Eskimo Dogs” is named after my first show dog U-CD CH 'PR' Cascade’s Almond Joy! First and foremost, my Eskies are my companions, pets and a great source of joy in my life. They have also been my principal hobby for many years. I am currently involved in: conformation showing in both AKC and UKC; obedience training and showing of my dogs in AKC and UKC; agility training of Tucker (and soon Savvy) with a goal of competing in UKC, AKC, NADAC and USDAA trials; breed rescue as the American Eskimo breed representative for Seattle Purebred Dog Rescue and chapter director for Heart Bandits.
