What
are my options for "custom" designs? If I don't see exactly what
I'm looking for, may I make a special request? Can you match my colors?
Your
options for custom orders are nearly limitless! If you have a specific color
scheme or flower, particular seashells or bows, shape or size in mind, I
can create it for you. You're welcome to send
a swatch for color matching. Remember, at SheaShells®
SeaShells your wish is our command.
Can
I speak directly to the designer about my ideas?
Of
course. I am always available to answer all of your questions and will work
with you to create exactly what you have in mind.
Can
you put candles into my centerpieces?
Sure!
We are greatly concerned about fires caused by candles and therefore cautiously
design centerpieces that hold candles, making sure to test them carefully
before shipping. Please remember to never leave burning candles unattended.
I
like your designs, but I want something without seashells. Can you make things
without shells?
Yes,
just let me know! Though
I specialize in seashells & sea-themed home decor and beach wedding
items, I can duplicate many of my designs without sea shells.
How
do I tell you my design preferences?
There
are several ways to tell me what you need:
You
may email me from the Contact
page. You can also fill out the request form on the same page.
You
may call me toll-free at 1(800)618-0697, ext 07. Leave a message, if I don't
answer immediately, and I'll call you back ASAP.
You
may enter your special request on the checkout page when you place your
order. This is preferable only if you have a small change in mind. If you
would like true custom design work, I do recommend that you contact me directly
before placing an order.
Where
do you get your shells and driftwood? Do you use endangered species?
I
am really fortunate to have relatives living in coastal areas that are constantly
on the lookout for special seashells and driftwood! If I need something
specific or unique, say a Japanese fighting snail shell or a polished seashell,
I purchase them from my wholesaler. SheaShells®
frowns on the use of endangered species. Corals and other specimen seen
on this website are unendangered or were obtained prior to endangered status.

I
am concerned about sending my credit card and personal information through
the internet. Can I place my order by calling your toll-free number?
Absolutely!

Under
no circumstances should you ever email your Credit Card info to anyone.
Email is generally not encrypted and therefore it is possible for unscrupulous
individuals to read your email during transit. Protect yourself against
fraud - Scambusters
is a great reference for learning how to protect yourself and your privacy.
What
is the price for custom designs?
Pricing
is determined by the amount of changes required and it is done on a case-by-case
basis. For example, if you order a centerpiece on the website and request
a different flower as seen in another item on our site, there is usually
no extra charge for the change. On requests where you would like a specific
element or a design that you do not see on the site, there may be a service
charge, depending on the request. Items shown on the website can be created
at sizes other than those shown and pricing will be adapted accordingly.
I will contact you with a price quote for custom work before processing
your order.
How
long will it take for my order to be shipped? I'm purchasing several items
for my Wedding - will they arrive on time?
Many
of our items are made to order. If you order 1-5 items directly off of the
website, they are usually shipped within 7-11 days and you will receive
an email or call with a tracking number on the day of shipment. Express
shipment is available for an additional fee. Larger orders may take longer
and I will let you know. Custom orders are shipped upon completion and you
will be notified of an approximate date of shipment when we receive your
order.
If
your order must arrive by a certain date, such as your Wedding or a Holiday,
please let me know. Large event-orders (ie 6 or more
seashell centerpieces, a bridal
shell wreath and a "Just
Married" seashell garland) should be placed at least 2 months prior
to your event.
Are
your items available for wholesale?
Yes,
we wholesale on a very limited basis as we try to keep our regular retail
prices as low as possible for our clients. Approximate rates are between
15%-30% of prices listed on our website. We require a certifiable sales
tax ID number and a minimum wholesale order of $500 (after discount). Please
contact
me for further info and terms and tell me the items that interest you.
Do
you ever share your customer's private information, such as name, address, phone,
email and credit card numbers with other companies, partners, venues, etc?
Absolutely
not. Your private information is yours alone and we will never sell, share,
distribute or otherwise abuse your privacy. We will use your email address
and/or phone number when contacting you regarding your order and we do not
keep your credit card info on file unless you request to set up an account.
We may, on occasion, send you a Newsletter or sales update and you always
have the option to opt-out and not receive anything unless it's at your request.

SeaShells Info, Shipping, Legalities and Stuff...
Individual and Friendly
Customer Service is our priority. Please contact us with any questions, including
customization options, special or bulk orders, billing, etc. No minimum order
requirements, ever. Alternate delivery options are available. Accepted forms
of payment are VISA & MasterCard, cash, money orders, cashier's check or
PayPal. Personal checks accepted, however there will be a processing delay of
10 business days for payment clearance.
NY state residents must pay an 8.6% sales tax, sorry...
*Shipping
fees will NOT appear on your initial order form or in
your total. Actual shipping fees will be computed by a human upon receipt of
order, at which time we'll send you a bill marked "FINAL BILL" (with
an SHS PO # and shipping fees added) via email and/or snail mail.
*We try to keep your shipping costs down and will use the least expensive (and
safest) carrier possible. Often this is the US Post Office.
*Check or Money Order - PLEASE DO NOT send payment until you
have received a bill marked "Final Bill" with an SHS P/Order
# (will show Final Total, including shipping fee). Send Checks/MO payable to:
