![]() The Life and Times of Shane Helms Entry #33 Wednesday, Feb. 7th, 2001. What's up Addicts? Got a lot to cover, so let me just jump right in to it! First off, I want to send Get Well Wishes to both Jimmy Hart and Sid Vicious. Both are really great guys, and I wish them a speedy recovery! For those of you that didn't get a chance to see it, my PPV match with Chavo Guerrero Jr. was pretty sweet. While the outcome sucked, the match was rated as one of the best on the show, and I was happy about that. It also was the debut of my "Floating Neckbreaker" which you can see a clip of in the Video section! The next night Shannon and I wrestled The Filthy Animals: Rey Mysterio Jr. and Billy Kidman with Tigress at ringside (is it bad to want to get the Bronco Buster from her?) The match was short and sweet, and saw Billy reverse my VerteBreaker into a Kid Krusher that bashed my head apart! (But my shoes did not fall off!) lol 3Count's next match ended in a victory as Shannon and I won the NWA Wildside Tag-Team Titles! We defeated Suicidal Tendancies with The Countdown in Cornelia, GA in our first match ever for that company. Our reign was short-lived however as we agreed to defend the titles in a 3-Way Elimination Match the next night against the former champs and also The Buggaloo Crew (don't ask, cuz I don't know). We eliminated Suicidal Tendancies and were about to hit The Countdown on The Crew, when Suicidal Tendancies made a return to interfere and inadvertently helped the Buggaloo Crew win the titles. The NWA Wildside Territory is packed with a bunch of energetic and talented guys, and if you get a chance to see one of their shows, check it out! And of course, my hat goes off to promoter "Wild" Bill Behrens for getting 3Count to Wildside in the first place. Next up was The Cruiserweight Countdown on WCW Thunder. And for the first couple of minutes is was VerteBreaker City as I eliminated both Elix Skipper and Evan Karagias before falling once again to Kidman's Kid Krusher! Damn it! lol However, the following week on WCW Thunder, Kidman and I squared off in a one on one contest that saw not only the debut of my new "Shoulder Wrecker" but also saw Kidman finally receive the VerteBreaker. And we know that nobody is gonna kick out of that! Kidman is awesome though, even if he is the competition. It would appear that the "Human Lawn Dart" oops, I mean "Fallen Angel" Chris Daniels and Mike Modest are are about to hook up with some ink from WCW. That is great news for the Cruiserweight Division which is, in my opinion, more talented now, than ever before! And let's hope that the rumor of some WCW Cruiserwieght Tag-Team titles is true! That would be "Oh, so sweet!" Just as the WCW Cruiserweight Division is heating up so are some of my favorite comics lately! Check out these if you get a chance: JLA [DC], Ultimate X-Men [Marvel], The Red Star [Image], Captain Marvel [Marvel], Spy Boy [Dark Horse], and Transmetropolitan [DC/Vertigo]. All great reads! And if you haven't heard it, find a copy of "Angel" by Shaggy. That is such a cool song! Also, check out my Misc. Links page as 3 just great new Shane Helms sites have been added! I don't have alot of dedication sites, and I'm told it's because everything that people need to know about me is here, but these 3 sites have went above and beyond to make some really interesting sites, so check them out! Now I hate to end on a sad note but I've heard that my personal favorite female personality in WCW was recently released. So "Good Luck Daff, in whatever steps you take next!" I wouldn't worry too much though, she is too talented not to pop up somewhere down the road! That's all for now, see ya later, Sugar |
