The Life and Times of Shane Helms

Entry #32 Saturday, Dec. 31st, 2000.

What's up Addicts?

Well this is it! The last Shane Asylum update for the year 2000! So, how was 2000 for Sugar Shane Helms? Wonderful! That's really the only word to describe how this year has been for me. The Shane Asylum simply exploded! The Addicts are just that "Addicts!" But I must admit to being just as addicted to you as you are to me! Capturing the WCW Hardcore Championship with Evan and Shannon, working with some of the sports biggest stars including Hulk Hogan, Diamond Dallas Page, Kevin Nash, Sting, The Great Muta, Jimmy Hart, and Lex Lugar as well as the "Young Guns" like Crowbar, Jung Dragons, MIA, Lance Storm, The Filty Animals, and if I missed anyone it's just because trying to think of all that's happened is a bit overwhelming, working with ICP, the ladder matches, all of it (while rigorous) was so exciting that I just can't wait for 2001 to see how I can make it even better than 2000!

With that being said, I would also like to say that I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and that tonight will be just as good! The Addicts delivered like Karl Malone for me on Christmas! The DVD's, the CD's, the books, the toys, the comics, the clothes, it all meant a lot to me. My PostMaster asked me, "What in the world did you do to get all this mail?" And I'm like, "It's Sugar baby! Plain and simple!" LOL So thanks go out to: (please don't miss anybody) April, Robert, Dianna, Melissia, Terri, John, Chrystal, Heith, Margaret, April, Mark, Carol, Renee, Mike, Tanisha, Tanika, Diane, Barbara, Molly, Melissa, Theresa, Amy, Jay, Maria, Brandy, and Tony! Now if I forgot anyone please just email me and let me know, because honestly I got so much stuff it was hard to keep it organized! LOL But that's a great problem to have right? :)

I also hope that everyone got to see Starrcade! Every report I've read and heard about said that we stole the show (again!) We turned the Triple Ladder Match into a Quadruple Ladder Match about 1 minute into the match and then preceeded to do some pretty crazy stuff! We're we hurting afterwards? You can bet your sweet little asses we were! But the next night was a sweet night as well as Shannon and I went one-on-one for the second time since coming to WCW. Now is the VerteBreaker not the most devastating move in wrestling right now or what?

Now someone asked me, on the Message Board, about the name "Insane Bump Machine," and how I got it? Well it was given to me by the guys at www.deathvalleydriver.com. These guys seen a lot of my indy stuff where I would do crazy dives off the top rope to the floor, off of 18 Wheelers, or even off the top of a coke machine! The fact that I went to college for computer programming made the name IBM kinda ironic, so I used it for a while. I still do from time to time!

It was cool to see my fans and friends at the recent Carolina Wrestling Federation show in Graham, NC! This also led to a reunion with T.C. Cruise, who as some of you know was my very first opponent way, way back in 1991!

And finally everyone needs to check out the Videos Section to see the new clips that have been added! They're pretty damn sweet if you ask me!

That's all for now, see ya later,
Sugar
