What's up Addicts?

First off, I hope that everyone likes the new look for www.shanehelms.com. As you could probably tell, a lot of work with into the new design, but in the end I think that it was well worth it.

As for wrestling news, I worked a couple of indy shows recently. The first being in Bluefield, WV. I rode to the show with a couple of guys making their mark down south, Bert Fox and Jimmy the Wrench. Keep your eyes peeled for these two. As for the show itself, I wrestled against Lazarus. Now Lazarus has a gimmick which, to be blunt, has to be seen to be believed! I don't want to go into details about it, but if you see his name on an indy show near you, be sure to check it out. Anyway, the stipulation of this match was that the winner got to referee an Evening Gown match between Candi & Missy Hyatt! Well do I even have to tell you that Sugar Shane got involved in that one!

Next up was Nitro and Thunder! The response that 3 Count received in Charlotte, NC was awesome. We worked a dark match, and it was great to finally perform in front of my family. Thunder consisted of a singles match that would have matched myself against Kwee-Wee but instead got bumped due to time restraints. Oh well! But Shannon still had a great match against Lt. Loco that was taped for Worldwide. Speaking of which, be sure to watch Worldwide this weekend as 3 Count has a nice little six-man match against three guys trained by Shawn Michaels!

Next, Shannon and I worked on an indy show in Little Rock, AR this past Thursday and had a great match against a tag-team known as Hell on Earth. The show also featured Jeff Jarrett -vs- (My personal favorite commentator) Stevie Ray, Bam Bam Bigelow -vs- Meng, and the return of The Nasty Boys as they faced Brickhouse Brown & Big T. Little Rock is one of my favorite cities in the entire country! And I can't wait to return!

The trip home took an even more interesting turn as in the Atlanta Airport I ran into L.L. Cool J! Now Cool J. has been one of my favorites for as long as I can remember and how surprised was I when he knew who I was!!!!! But as "had" to be the case, I had no film for my camera! Damn it!!!! So, anyway after a brief, albeit deservedly so, mark-out moment, I got his autograph, which I will post up soon, and just chatted with him for a minute or two. As cool as they come, he earned even more points with me just by being so down to earth and genuine! LL Rocks!!

Now as for site news, yes I am working on even more additions to the site, not to mention a new message board, because as you may have noticed, Insidetheweb has been "jimmy'd" for about three weeks straight now. So, anyway keep checking in!

That's all for now, see ya later,
Shane Helms
