Diary of a Serial Thriller
The Life and Times of Shane Helms

Entry #5 Sunday, December 12th, 1999.

To all good things must come an end and so my time in Hollywood is done! "Ready to Rumble" is finished shooting and I will be flying back to North Carolina tomorrow. This has definately been one of the greatest experiences of my young life. I guess everyone dreams of going to Hollywood to be in a movie, but how many people really believe that this dream will come true? I didn't. Don't get me wrong I am not the star of this film (not even close) but I was here and that's all that matters!

I met some great people out here and I want to give a few hello's to them. First off to Joel "The Animal" Kramer (Stunt Coordinator) for giving me the opportunity to double Arquette. Joel is a great guy who has worked hard to get where he is and deserves alot of credit. To Cristie "The Clown" Carcioppolo for being probably the nicest and happiest person I've ever known, and who has a birthday coming up on the 14th I believe (Happy Birthday!). Cristie smiled more than anyone I've ever met (and it was a beautiful smile). To Natalie for being so easy to work with. To Jerry for always being gentle with my wig. To Nancy for taking care of my wardrobe. To Candy for the gifts. I'm sure that there are others but it's late and I tire easily. Haha!

I must tell you that Kanyon asked me to help him pick out his wardrobe for his new gimmick, so we went on a shopping spree that ended in chaos! We completely lost our minds. The two day total was in excess of $8,000 dollars! I told CK that I will probably never go shopping again for the rest of my life! But damn, we had a blast!

I've seen a few good movies lately. "Dogma" was hysterical (What the f*ck is going on?) and "Sleepy Hollow" was real good too (chop off a few heads next time why don't cha?). "The Bone Collector" was good but the rat scene was almost more that I could bare!

I started collecting DVD's to take with me on the road to watch in my downtime, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I recently bought "Reservoir Dogs" at Kanyon's referral and "Heathers" which Matt Hardy had been telling me for years is great but I have yet to watch either of them.

Well Cali, it's been nice and I will see you again, but for now, I'm outty!!!

That's all for now, see ya later,
Shane Helms
