Descendants of pioneer Tate County families, Shanahan and Potter, attended the annual Stewart-Shanahan reunion held June 11-12 at Howard Johnson Motel in Senatobia.

     Gene Embrey of Memphis, 1987-1988 president of the family organization, arranged the Senatobia gathering, the second to be held here. As many members of the families established homes in Texas, reunions are principally held in that state.

     Attending the two-day event were Gene and Marion Embrey, Dave Embrey, Rebecca Embrey, Jesse and Blondell Embrey, Tim Embrey, Michael Embrey and Bobby D. and Betty Billings, all of Memphis; Carl and Jewel Embrey, Catherine and Will Mask, Ruth Freeze, Inez Flippin, James and Modena Freeze, Mark Mask, Sidney and Ellen Freeze and Jimmy and Patty Freeze, all of Coldwater.
