Notes:

Initial "K" may stand for Kimbell or Kimbrough. Other info indicates that his nickname was "Bob"; however, whether this was a shortened form of Kimbrough or whether it was a short form for the name Robert is in question. In the 1920 Morgan Co Census record a Robert Slaten appears as being age 12...which is coincidentally near Oscar's year of birth. Was his true given name Oscar Kimbell/Kimbrough Robert Slaten???
This is a double tombstone. Oscar's wife [Beatrice Lee Griffin] has her name inscribed with a date of birth (but without a date of death) so I am assuming that she is yet living (as of 15 Oct 2000 when photo was sent to me).
Photo of this tombstone had been "cropped" when sent to me by C. Slayton. I would assume that the surname SLATEN is inscribed in the middle.
