GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY RECEPTION

Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Murrie 1, 940 Robinson St., were honored with a reception for their fiftieth anniversary on March 20 hosted by their children and grandsons. The register table featured a 1928 wedding picture of the Murries, her wedding ring in its original box, a small figurine bride and groom which had been a gift at their wedding, a gold carnation in a crystal bud vase, a lighted gold taper in a gold candlestick and a special gold and white feather pen. Other reception rooms held exhibitis of wedding clothes, pictures and

memoralia of the past half century. Pictured from left are: Clay D. Hensley 2, grandson of Morton; Mrs. Colleen M. Hensley 3, daughter of Morton; Mr. and Mrs. Murrie; Daniel G. Murrie 4, son of Morton; and Casey D. Hensley 5, grandson of Fremont, Neb., Special Guest was Jeffrey Christenson of Fremont, Neb. Grandson Clay registered guests; Mrs. Hensley served cake; Grandson Casey served punch, and Daniel Murrie greeted guests at the door.

1 Hubbard Casey Murrie, born 23 Mar 1895 and Beulah 'Billie' Pearl Shanahan, daughter of Dennis Potter Shanahan and Ellen Wilkerson, born 04 Sep 1906 in Dallas, Texas. 'Billie' as she was affectionately called by many, was keenly interested in her Irish Heritage and spent many years doing family research. Much of Billie's research has been generously shared with the family at large by her son Dan and her daughter Colleen and we are extremely fortunate and grateful to have it.
2 Born c.1962, son of D. V. Hensley and Colleen Murrie.
3 Born 13 Aug 1923, daughter of Hubbard Casey Murrie and Beulah 'Billie' Pearl Shanahan.
4 Born 15 Jan 1929, son of Hubbard Casey Murrie and Beulah 'Billie' Pearl Shanahan.
5 Born c. Apr 1960, son of D. V. Hensley and Colleen Murrie.
