Ilfochrome Prints by photographer John Stines American photographer John Stines' work is found in galleries and private collections across the country. John has extensively photographed the Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill, KY, which is considered to be one of the finest museums in the country. Ilfochromes (formerly Cibachromes) are beautiful, vibrant prints, purchased by both serious art collectors and by those who are just beginning to collect art. John's Ilfochrome prints from this Shaker collection are printed to a size of 14" x 17 1/2" on 16" x 20" paper. The prints are available unmatted, or mounted in archival, ragboard mats. John currently has six different Shaker images available as Ilfochrome prints. The Ilfochrome printing process is quite different than normal negative printing. The camera original transparency is directly printed onto the paper with no intermediate negative. The special dyes in the paper give prints a rich, saturated look. Ilfochromes are very resistant to color shifting and fading, and are excellent investments. Loose prints are $250.00 Signed, matted prints are $325.00 |

Spiral Staircase Actually a twin spiral staircase, this famous structure was designed by Pleasant Hill Shaker Micajah Burnett. The graceful elegance of the stairway is captured in this beautiful Ilfochrome print. Prints of the staircase are currently very limited.
