Overall grade B
This was a very tough one to grade. I give them an “F” for the “ripped from the headlines” Harrison subplot. They could have done anything with his past and they make it exactly like what happened to John Kerry? I thought Piller asked in his guide to writers to be ORIGINAL? Was there a real life political agenda behind this? I sure hope not. (In case you’re wondering, I hate John Kerry, so it’s not that I love him and was offended, I just don't like TV series with political agendas) I didn’t get the point of the almost photo copy similarity.
On the other hand the entire episode blew me away! Even the Vietnam scenes did, the kid “ghost” was very effective, Major Dad was wonderful, the Stillson / Johnny scenes were fabulous ... I could go on and on. This was a very dramatic, very well done myth arc episode! So I’ll split the difference.

What a fantastic job! Johnny’s human! That things I just ragged him about are wonderful in terms of story and drama! Who wants a cardboard hero who does everything perfectly? We might be looking at a Captain Ahab situation where Johnny gets so obsessed with taking down Stillson that he loses all perspective. This is a dark road and few series writers have the guts to take it.

This would be an “F” because I hate you so much but I do like how your arrogance is going to be your downfall. You think you can play Johnny? DO YOU?!?!? All you did was lose your fabbo illegal contribution. You were going to win ANYway, as implied by that sandbagging you did to Harrison in the debate. (and as determined by Johnny's visions, which state that if Johnny does nothing at all, you win) With your skills and evil tactics, you would have killed Harrison in the vote. So playing games, as your buttling was saying, is gonna be your downfall. And I’m going to be there to watch it! WOO HOO!!
