Music Page

I will occasionally review, or rate, the music I listen to, or the stuff I avoid. If you have similar tastes to mine from groups you are familair with here, you may find some other stuff you haven't heard but may want to try. That is the purpose of this page, to expose folks to music that they may have never heard, but is worth a listen. Most groups here you will probably know already though. That helps to provide a frame of reference for you to work from.

Enigma (New Age)
The husband and wife team of Michael Cretu (Romania) and Sandra (Germany) mixes ethnic and religious music from Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East together with modern rhthyms and new melodies. Very good stuff.
Delerium (Electronic)
Leeb and Fulber record mostly electronic music in it's different forms under many names. They work with several well-known and lesser known female singers to produce superior electronica. A must listen.
Amethystium (New Age)
Øystein Ramfjord of Norway is relatively new to the ambient music scene, but produces some of the most beautiful and relaxing music I've ever heard. He combines sweeping harmonies and voices with ethnic samples and a low key beat.
Enya (Celtic New Age)
This Irish performer hardly needs any introduction she has become so well-known. She originally started with Clannad before going solo. Her voice is soft and angelic and she makes is very soothing, melodic Celtic music.
