Settings
The first step in building a description is giving the Description Builder command. You can find it on the Edit menu and the tool bar, the building icon. You will be directed through a series of dialogs that let you define the contents of your document from top down.
Before describing the document, there is a preliminary dialog for settings. Here you define the document font and lexicals. Lexicals are those characters that have meaning of their own and which terminate words. On some documents, a dash is just another character, on others it divides the parts of a date. Click on parts of your document to ensure that each piece that might be described separately can be selected separately. You may be able to separate them by declaring a character a lexical.
