Views
Descriptive Data Capture saves the document text separately from the description. The advantage of the separation is that the text can be used without the program. Also, the description can be stored separately and it can be used as a contract for exchanging information. The disadvantage is that the document must be coordinated with the description. Capture addresses that problem two ways. It supports description registration and it supports multiple views of the same document. When you make selections in one view, you can see them in all views.
The principal view types are:
- Document text, the document you are describing
- Description list, the description as an outline
- Description text, the description as it will be saved to disk or as a mail attachment
Notice that the information is made more readable by use of color. The document font and colors are stored in the description and can be customized. The sender may prefer one document font and color scheme, but you can keep your own customized version with your own color choices.
