Augusta Chapter of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America was charted in 1898. This charter has not been broken in 100 years. Augusta Local 283 consists of Carpenter & Millwright Craftsmen. We also offer training in both crafts. Our Apprenticeship program is a 4-year program with classroom and shop training plus on the job training in the field.
