I belong to a group called
It's not just a WebRing, but a wonderful group of caring, sharing, loving and helpful ladies that I'm delighted to call my friends. We decided to make a virtual quilt. My first quilt square is shown below and farther down the page, you will find a link to see the quilt in its entirety. I hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it. |

Cleaning and scrubbing can wait 'til tomorrow.
For babies grow up, we've learned to our sorrow. So quiet down cobwebs. Dust, go to sleep. I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep. |

Of all the things I've done in my life -- and all the names I've answered to -- the words "Mama" and "GranGran" are the most important. As I watched my granddaughter graduate from kindergarten, I must admit a tear rolled down my cheek. After all, in my Mom's heart, it seems like only yesterday that her Daddy, my first born, did the same thing, and a tear was present then, too. How quickly time passes. I think sometimes we forget to appreciate, relish, savor and hold on to each precious event as it occurs. And now as we approach the new millenium, I remember a math assignment I had in junior high school: "How old will you be at the turn of the century?" The answer was "55" and that seemed too far in the future to even be possible and yet here I am, so many years later quickly approaching that point in time. I think it's pretty special that my granddaughter will complete her first grade of school in the year 2000. For her, her daddy and my other son, I wish love, happiness and success...and I hope they know they have made my life complete. My other quilt square Click below to see the entire quilt
