Here I'm making wide boards out of narrow ones. I tongue and grooved everything together to provide more gluing surface.

Here are a couple of views of the stem's first layer completed and ready for the second layer.  After the second layer, two layers of 3/4 inch plywood will be laminated one over each side of the stem core layers.

Here is a picture of both of the core layers ready to be glued together.

To the right is a picture of the notches in the forward frames to accept the stem.
