The number of young people suffering from alcoholism who turn to AA for help is growing. SCCYPAA was founded for the purpose of providing a setting for young AAs from all over SC, and beyond, to come together and share their experience, strength, and hope as members of Alcoholics Anonymous. The convention also serves the important purpose of including young people at every level of the AA Service Structure by providing experience and opportunity for all those interested. Though it is a convention put on by young people as in the spirit and tradition of other young people’s conventions, its purpose is to bring together AAs of all ages, newcomers, as well as long-timers, in unity for an annual celebration of sobriety and recovery.
