| ORDERING: Ordering is easily accomplished by answering 7 to 10 simple questions on our ORDER FORM, which you can submit with the press of a button. There is plenty of room to write in special requests,instructions and questions on the form. An "Order Confirmation" e-mail will be sent to you within 48 hours of submission. Please read this e-mail carefully, as it will contain payment instructions; availability & shipping information; answers to your questions; and, any questions I may have before starting your order. | ||
| AVAILABILITY: Although I endeavor to keep a reasonable supply of materials on hand at all times, Scarletts Designs is just a 'Mom Shop'; not a warehouse full of materials and ready-made items. Consequently, it is possible for an order to be delayed if materials are not in stock or need to be special ordered. In most cases, this involves a wait of only 7 to 14 days. If your order is affected by such a delay, you will be notified in the "Order Confirmation" e-mail and may cancel your order at that time if you wish. | ||
| MATCHING PIECES: Even when not pictured or priced, a matching bracelet, anklet and/or pair of earrings can be quoted and created to match most necklace designs. You can request a quote for matching pieces on our order form or via e-mail. | ||
| CUSTOMIZATION: This is the term I use to describe any change you would like made to an existing item, and it is one of the many 'perks' of ordering directly from the artist. Some examples: You want an 18" necklace shortened to 16"; You need Niobium ear wires because you are allergic to Sterling Silver; You would like a 'regular' necklace coverted to a Nursing Necklace with DELUXE construction. Many customizations can be performed free of charge, but some require a small fee to cover the cost of additional materials. Of course, you will be informed of and must approve any applicable charges before work is started. | ||
| UPGRADES: This is similar to 'customization', but refers to the upgrade of materials. Some examples are: You want Sterling Silver beads in place of Pewter ones; You want 14K Gold ear wires in place of Gold Filled; or, You want a specialty Sterling toggle clasp on your bracelet. I will be happy to upgrade any of my products to your specifications under the terms of a 'special order' (see below). You pay no additional charge for this service; only for the additional expense of the upgraded materials. You will be provided and must approve a price estimation before the materials are ordered. | ||
| SPECIAL ORDERS: The color and design possibilities of my products are truly endless, and it is possible that I have not yet created the design you've been hoping for. In most cases, creating a new, custom design is not a problem; after all, another advantage of buying direct from the artist is getting something made especially for you or a loved one. I will be happy to work with you in designing something 'just right' and there is no additional charge for this service; only for the materials. If I feel I can create something to the specifications you describe with materials I have on hand, I will work on it and e-mail photos to you along the way. If we are both confident that ordering additional, specific materials will be necessary to achieve the look you are after, you may be asked to pay for a non-refundable portion of your purchase before those materials are ordered. In any case, I will be committed to designing something to your complete satisfaction. | ||
| WHOLESALE ORDERS: Although my mark-up is already quite low, I can offer a wholesale price break for orders of 8 or more items. I provide written invoices; full-color jpg images; informative product inserts for your customers; and, free shipping insurance with your wholesale order. I have successful wholesale arrangements with other retailers and can provide you with references, quotes, and an outline of my standard terms and conditions upon request. | ||

| SHIPPING: Orders are shipped from my smoke-free home within 2 business days of your payment recording to my account. You may choose from 1st Class, Priority or Express Mail. I will also ship via UPS whenever it is more economical (for heavier packages). Shipping rates are based on my actual costs and there is never a handling charge. Buyer assumes 100% risk of loss and/or damage if insurance is waived. For light-weight shipments inside the U.S., Canada or the U.K., you can use the SHIPPING RATE CHART to calculate your shipping and insurance charges. For all other shipments, you can contact me for a shipping & insurance quote or I will automatically provide one to you within 48 hours of receiving your order. Seller is not responsible for delays, losses or damage during transit of international shipments when insurance is unavailable or too expensive to purchase. | ||
| RETURNS: To avoid ambiguity and/or dissatisfaction, Scarletts Designs provides quality, close up and full-image color photos; honest, detailed written descriptions; and, prompt, thorough answers to customer inquiries for every product. However, if upon receiving your purchase you find you are unhappy with it, you may repackage it carefully and return it in new, unused condition within 10 days to receive a refund or credit of the purchase price. The 10-day deadline is necessary to ensure the quality and integrity of the merchandise for subsequent customers. Special ordered, upgraded and/or customized items are not eligible for return in most cases, but will be considered on an individual basis. | ||
| REPAIRS & REPLACEMENT: The process of individually handcrafting items provides the highest degree of quality assurance. However, if you detect a defect in materials or workmanship you may return your purchase via 1st Class Mail for free repair or replacement, reshipment and postage reimbursement. In the event that the required materials are not available, you will receive a full refund or credit in lieu of repair or replacement. If your purchase is damaged in transit, we can file an insurance claim and arrange for repair or replacement. If you waived insurance or if your purchase was damaged in any other way, please contact me to discuss affordable repair or replacement options.
