Caesar Creek Sun-T

The Caesar Creek Sun-Ts was formed to increase the acceptance of thongs and topfree sunbathing in Ohio. While the name is taken from Caesar Creek State Park (just north of Cincinnati), we are also active at Alum Creek State Park (just north of Columbus). There have also been reports of thonged and topfree patrons at Edgewater Beach State Park in Cleveland. While the Caesar Creek Sun-Ts was officially formed in 1996, various members have been going thonged and topfree at these State Parks since at least 1990.

Yes, thongs and topfree sunbathing are legal in Ohio. Ohio laws specifically prohibits the exposure of "private parts", but Ohio court rulings have made it clear that "private parts" means genitals, not buttocks or breasts. See State v. Parenteau and State v. Jetter.

There have been bills before the Ohio General Assembly for the past 4 years that would make thongs and topfree illegal at Ohio State Parks. We have testified before the committees hearing these bills, and have been instrumental in keeping them from becoming laws. Please consider getting active in Caesar Creek Sun-Ts and the political process!

Another way you can help is to make sure that you observe proper thonged/topfree beach etiquette. The last thing we need is boorish beach behavior and incidents that will give legislators the conviction that legislative action is necessary.

The Caesar Creek Sun-Ts are also involved in a lawsuit trying to stop the arbitrary ban on thong swimwear at Miami University. We need your financial support!
