Kappa Gamma Pi Key
The KAPPA GAMMA PI KEY was adopted as the official insignia in
1929. The Greek letters on the diagonal panel on the face of the
key are the initials of the Greek words which mean Catholic
Women Leaders. This panel separates the symbols of Faith (the
cross, in the lower corner) and Service (the wheel, in the upper
corner). The wheel is a symbolic reference to St. Catherine of
Alexandria, society patroness.
Kappa Gamma Pi Mission Statement
Kappas pledge to provide examples of scholarship, leadership
and service in their personal and professional efforts toward
other Kappas, all potential Kappas of our affiliated colleges and
all those whose lives they touch in church and community.
Kappas should serve as a network of morally and spiritually
motivated people who support and sustain each other in their
search for excellence, justice, compassion and wisdom.
