Torch Marauder CD Release Party

Saturday, February 24 at the Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro, NC
Free Show
Starts at 9pm

With:
Grappling Hook
Des Ark
Ben Davis & The Jetts
Nathan Oliver

Pox World Empire is putting out two new Torch EP’s; Triceratops and Can I Get a Lift?, all conveniently packaged on one CD.

Lovitt Records is putting out a split CD with Des Ark and Ben Davis & The Jetts. They each do 5 songs, plus they do two songs together with a twenty piece orchestra.

Pox World Empire recently released Nathan Oliver’s self titled debut.

All of these CD’s will be available at the show.

The Torch Marauder’s CD Release Party will also be a “Farewell to Video Torch” show. Video Torch is retiring? Quitting? Throwing in the towel? Calling it a day? All of the above. So Video Torch will pass the Torch on to the Grappling Hook at the end of the night. This will be the last appearance of the TV and blue make up at a Torch gig…..until the eventual original line-up reunion. Torch will carry on as the front man for Grappling Hook.

Triceratops includes some rockers, an ode to the late Bobby Gibbs and the trilogy which opened all the early TM shows before the announcer came on board.

Track listing:

1. The Superhero’s Fear of Failure
2. Manowar (Sweet Revenge) [stereo mix]
3. Greasing The Judge’s Palm
4. Bobby Gibbs
5. Triceratops I. All is Quiet on the Plain
6. Triceratops II. Tyrannosaur Attack!
7. Triceratops III. A Hunter Falls on the Horns of His Prey

Can I Get A Lift? is the Torch’s comedy album featuring some of his biggest crowd pleasers.

Track listing:

8. Twin Brothers in Rock
9. Cologne
10. Durham Town
11. Cherie K. Berry
12. Two Sticks of Dynamite

Both of these records have appearances by a great crop of Sometimes Lonely Musicians. Many thanks to all of them for lending their talents to these projects.
