Heavy Duty Synch Cord by Paramount
Converts ASA to PC
This heavy duty cord is used to covert the ASA plug found in cameras like the Kodak stereo camera to standard PC plug. As shown in the picture above, the Kodak stereo camera does not have the standard PC plug found in most modern cameras, but it has an ASA plug. This cord will convert the ASA to a PC plug. One end of the cord attaches to the Kodak's flash plug. The other end is a standard PC plug that can attach to a PC cord that comes with the flash.
The final arrangement for using flash with the Kodak is shown above. The following items are needed in this arrangement:
Kodak stereo camera.
Flash that has a PC cord, like the Vivitar 2000 that I sell in my stereo store.
ASA-PC adapter cord shown here
Flash bracket to hold the flash, for sale in my stereo store
I consider electronic flash to be one of the most useful accessories for these 1950s stereo cameras. It allows you to take stereo pictures indoors or just fill the scene with more light in close ups, etc. The fast speeds of electronic flash also freeze motion. Use an electronic flash with your stereo camera and you will be very pleased with the results!
