Hackman of Shaker Hights, Ohio sends letter to Troop 64 of his completion of the Appalachian Trail after meeting with the troop at the Mt Race and Mt. Everett section. Model Contest (October 30th). Fall Camporee. Appalachian Trail Hike, Section 4. (October) Appalachian Trail Hike, Section 2 & 9. (November). Christmas Party (December 18th). Scoutmaster: Ronald Henchcliffe. Charter is dropped by Fairfield County Council on 3/1/88. 1989 BSA replaced Leadership Corps (1972-1989) with the Venture/Varsity program. Troop 64 member David A. Wilson becomes 1st Selectman of the Town of Trumbull (1989-1999). (1990-present)
