Rein Trimming, Edge Tools:
Use:
A saddle and harness maker will create a rounded edge on leather parts that contact the horse or rider. A rounded and burnished edge will be less likely to sore the horse or wear against other leather parts. A Rein Trimming edge tool creates a rounded edge on larger parts of a saddle or for rough rounding of reins before being pulled though a rein rounding draw plate.
