1989 Marquette, MI:
Twelve-year-old Eryk Ryynanen disappeared without a trace on his way home from a friend's house in 1984.
In 1988, his remains were found in coal chute number 18 of Marquette's Lower Harbor Ore Dock. The police concluded that he had accidentally fallen the 40 feet to his death, despite an extreme fear of heights and closed the case; but Eryk didn't fall he was murdered.
With the help of a library book he had in his possession, at the time of his death he enlists Gerta Auchinkloss, a library borrower, to help him prove it and finally win justice.
Progress Stage Toward Publication:
I have one chapter to complete and then some more editing of the entire piece. Then I'll be looking for agency representation.
See the Places in the Novel: Photos taken by the author will soon be added.
