Excerpt From "Pining":

"I was doing dishes and caught a flash of movement out of the corner of my eye, as I turned I saw a cat, really nothing more than a transparent white shadow in feline form, jump onto the windowsill.  It soundlessly climbed out onto the wooden fire escape and vanished in mid-stride..."

Writes of Passage: Overcoming Depression Through the Power of the Pen This is the tentative title for a anthology being put together by Bev Walton Porter, editor of the Scribe & Quill eZine.  Bev asked me to fill out a questionnaire for the volume.  I've suffered from depression since childhood but it went undiagnosed until 1991.  I've since discovered that a lot of writers suffer from this malady.  I'll post more information as it becomes available.
