I
do not fear
quiescence of my
breath,
for living ceased
upon your sad
demise.
The sun eclipsed
the hour of your
death;
the moon and stars
were snatched from
out the skies.
My Love, the night
is long and never
spent;
I feel a void that
I cannot abide.
My heart, the very
soul of me is
rent,
because you are no
longer by my side.
I welcome death to
come and set me
free,
to lift me far
beyond this somber
night,
for There, my
Love, I know you
wait for me;
once more we'll be
together in the
light.
To this sad world
I'll gladly say
adieu,
for death will
surely bring me
close to you.
