Oh
how I long for yesterday,
When life was fun and filled with glee;
My heart was light, my spirit free,
And all I did was laugh and play.
The winds of fate have blown away
The carefree girl that once was me;
Oh how I long for yesterday
When life was fun and filled with glee.
My clock ticks on, I can't delay
Old Father Time's incessant plea,
But if I could I would decree
One final youthful grand hooray;
Oh how I long for yesterday.
