Trinity Church Camp 2005

June 18, 1950 a 7-year-old somewhat apprehensive boy and his twin brother left the Trinity Church parking lot for a week of Choir camp at Bellow’s lodge Big Bear Lake.  The trip took forever and they arrived at a little camp located on the point between Papoose Bay and Boulder bay.  The girls were housed in the original renovated log cabins used by the construction workers of the second dam, and the boys were in old wood floor tents. It was great.  We sang at mealtime and campfire.  We had dances every night after supper.  We went boating and fishing and hiking.  It was fun, safe and warm.  We have moved a couple of times since then and ended up at the Santa Monica YMCA camp, just across Boulder Bay, the same place we will return to for 2005.

Camp will open Saturday, June 25, 2005 and close Saturday, July 2, 2005.   The camp registrar is Diane Schlicke, who may be reached at 909-446-1290.  Camp application packets with detailed information will be available in the Great Hall.
