Abstract The benefits gained by the celluloid/RP union can be seen on every movie screen in America. Rapid prototyping has benefited from this connection by helping re-tool the creaky movie making machinery of the studios - the studios now cannot survive without their services. But the demand for RP content is expanding across all media - whether you're talking about feature-length films, television or the Internet. The convergence is only natural as higher bandwidth and faster download speeds in the hardware and software industries continue to create new possibilities in movie making and special effects, making visions once thought impossible come alive.
