Abstract Document management software is a critical component of information technology that can dramatically decrease the time it takes to get products to market. By implementing document management solutions, companies gain two key benefits: (1) they are better able to manage, leverage and distribute design and engineering information; and, (2) they enhance effective, timely collaboration and communication among designers, managers, sales and marketing staff, business partners, suppliers and customers. Improved management of data and improved collaboration help companies achieve one ultimate goal - the reduction of the concept-through-manufacturing cycle time. XX
