Abstract When choosing a method for the production for plastic parts, most engineers do not consider RTV molding as a solution. Although RTV molding, also known as rubber molding, has been used for decades, it is most commonly considered for prototype applications and rarely viewed as a production alternative. For those that have low production volumes and a willingness to try something different, RTV molding can save both time and money. XX
