Abstract The importance of technical factors and scanning techniques when scanning for anatomical biomodels is important. The combination of factors employed by the patient, technologist, and modeling agency dictate the outcome of the final model and possibly the outcome of surgical planning and implant creation. Using good communication, proper education, and a strict scanning protocol, superior results in anatomical biomodelling can be obtained. 9 Refs. (Auth abstract) XX
