Marriage record: Year eighteen hundred fifty two the first day of
May,
after the Bann and Publication, having dispensed of the two others of the
future marriage between Mr. Auguste Gautier, native of New York, actually
moved
to New Orleans, legitmate son of the late Mr. Auguste Gautier and his wife
Laura Levere, his father and mother natives of New York of one part, and
Angela
Euphemie Ory, born and in this Parish, legitimate daughter and laste Majeure
Jean Baptiste Ory and wife Marie Masdelaine Webre her father and mother
residents of this parish of one part, took place the previous Sunday before
our
parisional Mass, without any obstacle or oppostion taking place as far as we
know. Having the license from the clerk of court and district that the
parties
having countersinged and all the formalities presecribed by the law of this
state for the celebration of this marriage. We undersign priest of this
parish,
after having filled all the canon and civil formalitites and having received
the consent of the future Mother and the mutual consent of Mr. Auguste
Gautier
and of Miss Marie Euphemie Ory have agreed by word at present at the
celebration fo their marriage, and were given the Benedication nuptial
according to the Holy Catholic Church, apostolic and Roman. Having done this
on
the date and year above mentioned at the residence of the new bride in the
presense of the witnesses who have sighted after the lecture completed.
