Death record: BE IT REMEMBERED that this day, to wit: the eleventh of
September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty one and
the sixty Sixth of the Independence of the United States of America, before me
VINCENT RAMOS, Duly commissioned and sworn Recorder of Births and Deaths in
and for the Parish and City of Orleans, personally appeared, Mr. Rufius Thomas
Fernandez born at Galvezton in this State of Louisiana on the sixteenth Day of
November in the year seventeen hundred ninety nine, Keeper of the Records of
the Catholic and Cathedral Church of St. Louis of this Parish of New Orleans,
residing on St. Ann street between Cond? and Royale Streets in this first
Municipality, Who by these presents Doth Declare, that Mr. Auguste Gautier, a
native of the Island Guadeloupe, about seventy two years of age since long
time domicilated in this Parish and widower of the late Jeanne Davis, Departed
this life on the Ninth Day of this present month of September at Twenty
minutes past eight O'clock P. M. at his domicile on Bayou road in this first
municipality.
This done at New Orleans,in the presence of the aforesaid Mr. Rufius Thomas
Fernandez as also in that of Messrs. Rudolph Torndorffer and T. William
Guntrum both of this City, witnesses by me requested so to be, who have
hereunto set their hands together with me after due reading hereof, the day,
month and year first above written.
