          "...The Music Will Live On"
A simple phrase written on a card sent with
flowers.  Flowers from Steve Young for the
final services for Roy Dea.  But this one
simple phrase speaks volumns about the
lifetime of  a man  and his deeply embedded
          love of music.

An interview with Roy  published in one of the
leading C&W Trade Magazines was titled,
"Working In The Shadows."  This was definitely
a fitting title describing a quiet man who never
          spoke of his own accomplishments.
You would never have found a wall filled with
plaques in his office.  When asked why he never
displayed these, he would be quick to say,
"That's past.  What comes next is what counts."

Doing research for these pages I learned so much
I didn't know about his career. A career that began
with Mercury Records and a lifelong friend, Jerry
Kennedy.  But a career that was inevitable when
he got his first guitar at age 10 in Shreveport, La.

These pages documenting the stellar career of
my brother, "working in the shadows" reflect
the true meaning of Steve Young's message..
          "..the music will live on."
