Business (Old, New, Other)
Board of Directors meeting place and time: The next meeting will be at McMurphy's at 6pm on December 2nd.
UW Speaker on Bio topic: Discussion involved the chapter hosting a guest speaker at the Mayo Clinc about a current topic in the biotechnology field. This would require the cooperation of the Mayo Clinic and involve some of the UW Alumni there. The current thought is to do this quarterly. Further discussion will occur at the December meeting.
Band Concert in Rochester: Discussion involved having the UW Marching Band in Rochester as part of the Civic Music program. The Rochester Civic Music program has no interest in this request. The idea of the Wisconsin Singers was also floated.
Pizza Party: The pizza party hosted by Jim & Judy Sloan's daughter in Madison didn't go over well. Only 3 of the scholarship recipients attended. If this is mentioned when the recipients receive the scholarship, it may be better attended.
Adjournment: 6:47 pm.
