. . . to identify common ground and uncover options to find an acceptable solution to a problem with the assistance of a neutral third-party.
Unlike litigation or arbitration where decisions are made by judges or arbitrators,
mediation is a process that helps the parties exchange information through facilitated negotiation.
Most civil cases can be mediated.
Mediation allows the parties to play an active part in the resolution.
WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF A NEUTRAL MEDIATOR . . .
. . . the mediator is a neutral third party who assists the parties in attempting to resolve their issues.
The mediator provides a neutral environment, a process to keep the parties focused, and helps the parties explore and understand their interests, needs, risks and options.
