Creating this Site
If you are interested in web page design (but don't know where to start)
there are a great deal of resources--internet, software, and print--available to help
you make your own web site. This page provides links to those resources I
used or stumbled upon while putting together
.

Other
useful links:
-
Webster's
Dictionary 2.0 (online spell
checker for web pages)
-
Web Developer's
Virtual Library (you
won't believe the amount of free resources here)
-
HTML Writers
Guild (If you are serious about improving your web design, this
is the organization to join. The first year membership is free and
teachers receive a membership discount. Lots of resources and useful
mailing lists. Join the critique list and have other web designers
critique your page--lurking on this list has been invaluable to me.)
-
Web
Site Garage (check out your web page performance in seven different
areas)
-
Cereal
Killer's Help Desk (he
eats a lot of cereal, but he will answer your questions about web page
design)
This site was created using "Composer"-- easy web page editor in
Netscape 4.0
. You don't have to know
much about HTML code to use it to create your own web page. For step by step directions, visit Tips for Web Page Building Using Netscape Composer.
This
site is hosted by AT&T
WorldNet Service with no additional fee over their
normal internet service provider charge. They allow 5 megabytes of space
with no annoying banners or pop-ups.
