Project 1: Due Monday, Nov. 2nd (counts the number of test grades in parentheses) 

Choose one of the following: 
 

1. interview someone who has lived in another country for at least 5 years within the last 10 years   (1)

2. interview someone who is at least 60 years old (1)

3. make a poster that illustrates your cultural background (1)

4. create a time capsule with at least ten items that define American culture (1)

5. research and write a report on a culture that has different eating habits from
ours: types of foods, eating patterns,  eating behaviors  (1 for report, 2 if food dish is
brought in)

6. research and write a report on an American subculture (1.5)

7. research and write a report that compares the role of, and attitude toward women in two tribal cultures  (1.5)

8. create a bulletin board that illustrates one of the concepts in Chaps. 1 or 2  (2)

9. interview a teenager who currently lives in another country  (2)
