Assignment: You must choose and complete one of the projects listed below.


Credit: Each project counts at least one test grade. Students who do exceptionally attractive, creative, thoughtful work, and/or who exceed the minimum requirements, will receive the number of test grades indicated in parentheses.


Choices

1. National Geography Week Poster (1 test grade)

Note: This project can also be done as a second project for a bonus test grade (due Oct. 29th).

2. Five Themes of Geography and a Country Poster (up to 1.5 test grades)

3. Five Themes of Geography and a Country Display Board (up to 2 test grades)

4. Five Themes of Geography and a Country Scrapbook (up to 2.5 test grades)

5. Island Nation Map (1 test grade)

6. Island Nation Model (up to 3 test grades)--due Oct. 29th



Once you decide which type of project you would like to do, see me for a copy of the guidelines for that project.


Special Notes

1. You may turn your project in one day late, but your grade will be lowered 20 points.

2. No project will be accepted after Fri., Oct. 29rd--send it or bring it in by then in even if you are sick.

3. Best projects will be saved for entry in the Va. State Geography Contest in May.

4. Grading for all projects will be based on:

a. how well you illustrated, stayed with, and/or followed the topic

b. how well you followed directions

c. how neat, colorful, and attractive your project is

d. effort and/or creativity.

Grading will not be based on your artistic ability, so don't be worried if you can't draw well. I can't either.
