As I mentioned on the way in here, you see the trusty Hilux with Commander Jodes at the wheel. I really hope the prospective buyer doesn't see this picture and realize this truck is really an ocean going vessel. 4x4 to the max!! Jodes, you fantastic chauffeur, you!
Driving North from Noosa, along 70+K of beach, we drove past the painted dunes. Perfect weather (at least on this particular day!) allowed us to see the fantastic colors here. At the end of this beach drive was Rainbow Beach, and the ferry across to Fraser Island.
Driving up the East Coast of Fraser Island, there were several places where the trusty Hilux had to drive over or around great Coffee Rock formations like these, and the one above. Of course driving over the top of this one wasn't real easy.
While Bernie and I were busy trying to get his motor cycle through a very sandy pass, Jodes managed to snap this perfect picture of some Fraser natives. Yes, Brumbies run wild on the island, and manage to get through the sand somewhat easier than motor cycles do!
And what would a page of Fraser Island be without a picture of the beach that was the four-lane highway at low tide?

Hey, Kim, a dingo ate my baby!!
Check out that crystal Blue water! I guess dingos enjoy it just as much.
