For those of you who have gone through the pain, pleasure, agony, stress, and joy of getting your pilot's license, you will appreciate the existence of this picture... and the little dab of tar left on my lips from kissing the ground fanatically upon my return from my check ride!
And to the right, the fantastically beautiful Fitch H. Beach Airport in Charlotte, Michigan. Yes, my home stomping grounds for many hours, both on the ground and in the air. If you're really good, you can spot the airport in the lower right quadrant of the picture, and yes it is that hard to spot from a distance on a hazy day!
From 1500 feet, looking south from right over the top of Wollongong. You can just make out Point Kiama. Check out the beautiful beach and foothills in the distance. Albion Park Airport is about 1 1/2 hours worth of fantastic winding coastal road south of Sydney. Good old PVX, a Cessna 152 Airobat was the "bird" here. Thanks Steph for playing photographer for this pic.
