Just beyond the city limits of Lonaconing, where a branch of George's Creek flows near Maryland State Route 36, there is a small naturalized park. Amenities are only a small, rail fenced, parking lot with a lot of long grass to stroll through -- a peaceful place to pull off of the highway and stop to enjoy the sound and sight of George's Creek and the many creature inhabitants who reside there.
