Poisonwood is a tree that lives up to it's name, similar to Poison Ivy. Even for some people that are immune to the effects of Poison Ivy, the Poisonwood can pack quite a punch. This can be a common tree in hammocks, roadsides, dunes, and some bayheads. Up close you can see the blotches on the leaves. Always remember not to grab plants that you do not know. It is always better to use caution than learn a valuable lesson afterward.
