The Pied-billed Grebe is a bit of a diving bird, and will swim underwater in seach of food or to escape danger. One odd characteristic of these birds is the fact that they have a very thin stomach lining, so they will wrap fish in their own feathers (and swallow additional feathers as well) in order to pad their stomach linings against the fish bones.
