These are the only completely
fake Latvian stamps I know, as opposed to forgeries, which
are quite common. I suppose lots of Latvia collectors would
like examples, as well as collectors of fake stamps, who
may be even keener to have them.
The set 5k, 10k, 25k, 50k. The cancels are straight-line
WALMEERA and RAUNA. The Riga stamp dealer W. A. Solmans
produced these. Fake covers have WALMEERA and RAUNA
straight-line registration marks and receiving cancels of
[Cyrillic] Tuckums * * B or the German [Ob Ost] Riga *b*. [Bill Apsit]
